My Brother got saved!!

19th of Mars, my little brother of 21, got saved!!!

He had thought about it for a while, and was planning to say Yes to Jesus in August or so. But God had other plans : ) Yepp!

A girl, called Katarina, had a word of knowledge to him at a sunday meeting, saying he should not plan ahead, but make Jesus Lord in his Life now. He accepted, got Babtized and filled with the Holly Spirit that very moment. Talkin' bout a flying start : )

God is Good, All the time!!!!!!!

Psalm 24

medium_dscn0561.jpg

To be a Door-opener!

Psalm 24 vers 3 through 6 says: “Who can climb Mount God? Who can scale the holy nort-face? Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; Men who won’t cheat, women who won’t seduce. God is at their side; with God’s help they make it.”

What a privelidge it must be to march infront of the orchestra of heavens angels and the Holy people of God, leading them through open doors and into God’s glory!!! Just think if you were able to describe and speak with words afirming in the hearts of people listening, just how the presence of God feels like…

To be able to declare in a song, just what people experience with God in their daily life. To describe something that people will recognise in their own life… That is one of my desires right now; To put lyrics and melody into a song that mirrors God’s Holy presence amongst His people…… Songs of a people redeemed…

I long for more………….

The big Question of our time?

medium_dscn0402.jpg

This question is a very common one, especially among european christians...

“Do you go to heaven if you are saved but not babtized?”

or: “How do you get saved?”

Prolog
First I must state sadly, Europe is the “third world” when it comes to knowing God these days…But there is hope : ) Glory to God!!!

Secondly: We are all saved in prospect on what Jesus did for us when He died for us on the cross. But that was the hard part in the saving the world process. We don’t have to go through all that suffering and pain. Our only task is to respond to what He has allready made ready for all creation… We say simply, as a welcoming respons to His awesome invitation; “Let Your will be done…” Mat. 6;10 It’s only by grace we get saved, not in our own effort in trying to be “holy” or “righteous”. Rom. 9;16 says: “Compassion doesn’t originate in our bleeding hearts or moral sweat, but in God’s mercy,”

The answer can be as simple as this: If you are saved according to Romans 10; 9 -then you are saved, and will go to heaven. This is what the bible says... lets have a look into the word of God : )

Babtizm
To be babtized is a part of a starting kit for christians if you like, called by some as “the Peter starting kit for christian life”. “Peter said, --change your life. Turn to God (the go to heaven part) and be babtized (for life here on earth), each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the holy Spirit.” Acts. 2;38

Read Acts. 2;37-47 and Rom. 10;9….

What we learn from the Word of God is that it's not the babtism that saves you from hell and into heaven. It prepares you for living a godly life on earth. You’ll get Jesus-kind-of-solution-abillity to always know what’s right and best for you. Jesus is allready in You before you are babtized (it happened when you accepted Him as your master), and He will continue to let you grow in wisdom and faith, and you will be able to draw closer to God during your life as a saved person. All this through The Holy Spirit. Reading the bible is a christians daily Spiritual food.

Salvation
Rom 10;9… says "The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God –Jesus is my Master—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. Rom 10;8-9.

In short
If you are saved and not babtized, it will only affect your life here on earth -not in heaven. You will still be a christian, saved an all that, but not be able to grow in maturity by the Holy Spirit. If you are only babtized without the Rom 10;9 part, you're likely not to go to heaven.

The Dillemma…
Some would say that; “what about those who doesn’t hear what God has done, like bushmen in Arizona etc.. (‘coz Rom. 10;17 says that faith comes by hearing). How can they be saved? Look with me to Rom. 1;19-20 that says that The basic reality of God is plain enough. “Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created….So nobody has a good excuse.” The Bible has all the nessesary answers : )

Read Rom 10;4-13 and the other scriptures I’ve used… They should be explaining, at least if you are saved your self ; ) 'coz then you will have revelation on the word of God : )

Final question… (epilog)
When you read what I just wrote…..from the Bible –Gods’ very word…..Are you saved?

Some smart evolution-talk : )

Hi :)

If you don't understand this science-stuff, it's all-right : ) To believe in God is easier : ) But this arthicle was interresting though : )

PS! This is borrowed stuff from Roger Aubrey's blog : )

In the Beginning

Thanks to Chris Hamer-Hodges for his comment on creationism/evolutionism. I thought it would was so good (not that I understood it all - I'm not a scientist) I felt it needed to be up here in a post. Thanks Chris. This is what he wrote...

All theories have fundamental axioms upon which they are based. For the atheist there is no option but to accept the evolution theory, because creation is dismissed by their presupposition that there is no God. For the Christian, there is no such restriction, and they can examine the evidence far more "scientifically." While it is true that many reject evolution purely on a matter of faith. There are serious scientific holes in Darwin's theory that should be pointed out.

It is in contradiction to Genetics. An organism with n chromosomes cannot evolve into an organism with n+1 chromosomes, because any change in chromosome number prevents it from passing on its mutation to offspring by reproduction.

It is in contradiction to biochemistry. Enzymes are complicated organic chemicals that work on a lock-and-key basis to bind certain chemicals needed for the body. You cannot evolve a key; it either works or it doesn't, there are no steps of mutation that provide a gradual advantage.

And it is in contradiction to the number-one rule of the Universe: The second Law of Thermodynamics. In any closed system (one without an external influence) the amount of entropy (disorder) must always increase. This is an "uncheatable" law; it is so strong that some scientists believe it defines the "arrow of time" itself. Thus the order in the species (and indeed the rest of the universe) cannot be the result of the passage of time, but they must be the result of an external influence.

Science is not in contradiction to faith. True science is the study of God's creation, and if we do not blind ourselves by our presuppositions, will point us to him.

1996 - From the "Live at Blues Alley" album - Eva Cassidys version of Stings "Fields of Gold"...

medium_bluesall.gif

Eva had a very special voice, and I just love to listen to her - over and over and over again....... THis is a beautiful cover version of Stings song, special because she sings the lyrics different than the original... Just Eva and her guitar... it's some kind of magic about it all... : )

It puzzles me though, that a woman - blessed with such a soothing and soulful voice, was taken away at such an early age... Was she a belilever? Was she saved? How can one possibly tell by just listening to her......? She sung beautiful spiritual songs also....like a christian would.... But how can one tell for sure...? I just don't know how that is done....

She went away from us at the age of 33....

I'm puzzled by such strange and unanswered thoughts tonight.....

Here's the lyrics for you........

Eva Cassidy - Fields Of Gold (Sting) - capo 7fret (Hm)

Hoooooooooooooo………
1. You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Among the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold

2. So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Among the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold

3. Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
And you can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold

BRIDGE…
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in fields of gold x2

instrumental x2 (vers)

I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in fields of gold x2
Hoooooooooooooo………

4. Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
As you lie in fields of gold

5. You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Among the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold x3
Hoooooooooooooo………

If anyone reading this, know for sure if she's singing ..."You can tell the sun..." or "You can't tell the sun..." in verses 1,3 and 5-line 3. I'm not quite sure about that. It's kinda difficult catching which is which.... it would've been much easier to tell I guess, if she was english and not american... well, well.... Please give me a hint if you know it for surtain. Thx in advance : ) So long reader : )

Nity nite......
