The trip with a twist and the nice “copper” : )
Today I went on a lovely mountain trip to ”Blåmanen” together with some good people from the cell-group I’m in. These good friends are some of the “Quality-pack” of people that surrounds me and enriches and enlarges my life. In short, we had a very nice trip to the top…
I love mountains…!
Especially when we stand on top admiring the magnificent view, miles upon miles into the horizon… It (the view, the fresh air and feeling of freedom) often comes to me with perspective and a larger overview of everyday-Life, which I just can’t get anywhere else…
On the top, we met some wonderful people! They were making Waffles!!! He he he.... : ) WE were joking that it had to be our reward for climbing all the way up there, ‘coz we were offered some hot, delicious waffles with jam and some heavy sour crème (“rømme” for Norwegian readers..). WE were so BLESSED!!!! So we shared back at them some of the snack we had brought… And we had a ball!!! : )
As usual on trips like this one, I changed into dry clothes, new T-shirt and “super-underwear”… What I didn’t notice, was that when I pulled of my T-shirt, my key-chain hanging off of my neck, followed with the T-shirt… This I didn’t discover until we were down in the city again, when I had to unlock my bike from the bench it was attached to… I had both bike-lock-key and house key on that chain…….. I didn’t believe it at first, and thoroughly searched my backpack and pockets……..but no keys appeared…
“Okey………….Here we go” – I thought…….
But, again in short, the problem got partly solved when I later that night (00:30) met a nice ol’ “copper” from the towns police-department, who –helpful and humerously, came to my rescue with a BIG CUTTER : ) I thanked God all the while after that, on my trip back to Minde (where I live). This day had been so great, that a tiny mishap, shouldn’t ruin my day!!! On that matter I stood firm!!!!
This episode reminded me on a scripture In the Bible, that tells me that I have Jesus’ type of control when things like this happen to me… I was devastated, off course, but what good would it do really – shouting and getting upset over such a detail – in a day that had been so packed with Gods greatness and the joyful fellowship of friends!!!??
So I thank you God, that you have given me peace of mind, a sound temper and a joyful, overflowing heart of thankfulness!!!
It seemed to me that in my heart, there was no room for bitterness nor anger, ‘coz it was filled up and overflowed with Thanks to Jesus…. : )
It’s great to live this way!! Hallelujah!!! ……….
